A one-bedroom first-floor flat will become available in December 2026. The flat is unfurnished and consists of an open-plan living room and kitchen with oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine, and a bedroom with en-suite shower room (shower, toilet and basin). Residents can also use the communal lounge, gardens and outdoor seating areas. The flat is one mile from Hawkhurst village centre, with a bus stop outside.

The monthly maintenance charge is £680 including underfloor heating and water.

Criteria

To qualify you must:

​

• be of limited financial means and in need of affordable housing;

• have lived in the parish of Hawkhurst or a neighbouring parish for at least 3 years, or have close family living there; and

• be able to live independently.

Applicants are preferably aged 60 or over.
